Animal Sanctuary

So today I visited All Creatures Great and Small, animal sanctuary in Cwmbran.

Set in the rural countryside of the Welsh hills, at the end of a little country road lies this wonderful animal haven. Part adoption centre for cats, dogs, and small animals, and part long term residence for some lucky creatures.
The day was sunny, as you wander the little paved pathways through the huts. Rustic, yet sturdy, they look like something made be Beatrix Potter. Ducks and Chickens roaming from pond to pond, whilst ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, and budgies slept in the heat. Geese trotted along sluggishly, as we wandered this mini picturesque village.

In my exploration of the adoption center, my heart was filled with joy at seeing the amount of rats that have been saved from euthanasia! Up for loving rat owners to take home with them.
Horses, goats, sheep, and pigs that are residents of the sanctuary chill out in the fields surrounding the area.

A truly amazing way to spend an afternoon.
